LuLu and Swahiss, Part 5

Swahiss hissed, "Give it back? Give it backkkk??? Do you think for one minute that I want this horrible hat in the middle of my manly snake body???? I can't give it back! Your hat is made of polyester! It's indigestible, not to mention that it's unsafe for our environment, even if I could regurgertate it!

LuLu Part 4

LuLu stood in front of Swahiss, looking directly into his lil black snakely eyes, giving him her meanest lizard look. Now you know when LuLu gives you her mean lizard look you know she means business. After all, LuLu is usually a happy carefree lizard who sings happy and carefree lizard songs all day long and wears hats in the heat of the desert.

Swahiis stares back. After all, this silly lizard who wore the silly hat is now responsible for the shape he is in (the hat in the stomach shape that is), and his intentions are not to let her get away with it.

"How dare you try to ingest me?" yells LuLu in her meanest lizard voice. "Look what you've done to my finest lizard hat! Give it back to me this instant!"

Swahiis is dumbfounded, as only snakes with hats in their stomachs can be. He cannot believe his eyes and ears. He cannot believe that this silly lizard has the nerve to stare him in his eyes and actually yell at him! After all, only a few minutes before she was his lunch.

LuLu the Lizard's Adventures

October 20, 2006

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a lizard named LuLu. LuLu was red and green and actually wore a hat on her little lizard head. Altho she was not required to she only wore it out when the sun was high in the sky. It was better than wearing sunglasses because she could never find them small enough to fit her little lizard head. One day as she was lolling in the sand of the very hot desert, with her lil hat on...a slithering snake came by and bid her adieu. She didn't see very well since her little hat not only shaded the sun but also shaded her vision. She looked up to the sound of a hissing hello. As she did so, the snake grabbed her, hat and all, by her little neck....and swallowed, little hat and all.

From that day forward, he became known as the snake with a hat in it's stomach. SWAHIIS, the snake. That's because the hat was never digested nor regurgatated (as snakes sometimes do). So Swahiis had a shape that looked rather funny now. He was long in the front, and long in the back, but rounded like a dome in the middle.Meanwhile, back on the desert, LuLu was. (regurgitated that is!) A little shaken at first, but oh so happy again! At first she didn't realize what had happened. She knew that it got really really dark, and she felt as if she was being crushed. However, because her hat was so big it caused an air pocket in the snakes's passageway and she managed to walk right out of his unhinged mouth.(to be continued).

As you can well imagine, Swahiis was astonished by the fact that his meal just walked right out of his mouth! How could something like that happen, he asked himself. He was really, really hungry too. After all, he hadn't had a meal in three whole months. And the preparation that was involved in getting LuLu was nothing to be sneezed at. He waited patiently behind the cactus bush for hours, still and waiting for just the right moment. He was so proud of the fact that he had caught her off guard, her looking so smug in that silly hat of hers too.
